Anyone remember how well we played prior to getting swept by the Ducks back when? Very well, did it matter? No!!!! The playoffs is a new season, equal playing field and fresh start for all! How we have played up to that point means nothing, the trends, the habits, the anylitics, the points or even plus minus all mean Butkus.
New attitude, New altitude!! Go Jets Go

Does this positive attitude you have Ross apply to Myers too?

Its a must that the Jets start this road trip with a win. They can’t be out shot once again by an inferior team and they have to play with the intensity they showed against Nashville. They also have to challenge the Hawks at the blue line and not let them carry the puck into the slot for a high percentage shot or control the play in the Jets end. Also it would be good to see the Jets carry the puck across the blue line and stop constantly dump and chase. Its time to use their superior size, speed and skill to control the play.

Yes. Gap control is key against the Hawks above all else.

We didn't have much if any PP time against the Habs but I'm looking so forward to seeing Buff back there QB'ing. Trouba was like a stone pillar back there , so uncreative. He moved laterally back and forth about 10 feet. Buff will mix up the play , take it deep, create more options....and also is much better at getting the puck up ice on the rush. Good riddance Trouba !

Why should we expect anything different from what we've been seeing most of the year - mediocre play. The Jets will lose 5-3 tonight. You make a great point, the players really do look lost out there, especially on the forecheck. Every dump in seems to be stopped behind the next, then picked up by a dman for a quick and easy outlet pass out of the zone.

I don't mind dump and chase when the other team's defensive gaps are tight and the play isn't there for the jets to enter clean. I don't like dump and sit back (dump and chaise?). Goalies like Bishop and Smith who play the puck extremely well are also hard to play dump and chase against.

I'm hoping that Trouba was only on PP1 last night because they're trying to ease Buff back in. PP1 hasn't been the same without Buff, his shot demands too much respect and opens up the other options.

I wasn't very happy with Buff's decision to drop the gloves with Caggiula with 15 seconds left. It's a tie game and Buff has to know that he cannot help us in OT, when he is in the penalty box.

Thankfully, it all worked out in the end....

Yea not the brightest idea. My three stars last night: Roslovic, Hellebuyck and Myers.

Once again, Roslovic-Copp-Perrault best Jet line IMO. These guys are on a mission.
Maybe more minutes?

Huge game tonight - need a win bad! 4-2 Jets works for me!

that was a chicken poop move by cagulia to take a two hander at the ankle of a player that has missed most of the last three months due to injury there. He is lucky Buff held back.

The magic number is 4 to finish first in the central. One jets win, and one loss by both blues and preds is enough.

Or two Jets wins will get 1st place. Should be doable, right?

Yes. I'm losing my mind watching Trouba try and QB the first PP unit. Another horrible night for the PP thanks to him.

Roslovic really stepped up last night and all the Jets had their feet moving. At least we know its in them when they want something really bad. Hopefully, there is still energy in those legs tonight when they face a team that is hanging on by a thread and that has had their number all year.
